PRESENTATION
Elena Howarth (until 2016 - Elena Sokhrannova) is an all-round art critic. Elena was born in Saratov, Russia, educated in Saint Petersburg, Russia at pedagogical university and the Academy of Arts. She taught history of arts, design and aesthetics in high schools and universities for 15 years. For the last 13 years Elena has been working at the Art Gallery of Narva Museum as a program manager. A great number of publications on history of arts written by Elena was published in various scholar journals. Her analytical articles on art criticism were published in press and art magazines.

PROJECTS
Since 2006 - organiser and head of the annual international competitive exhibitions at Art Gallery of the Narva Museum, timed to the regional celebration of the Artist Day, held on the first Sunday of June. The celebration is aimed at popularisation of art and attraction of artists from different countries.
Coordinator, curator and participant of the Estonian team at the 2015 Estonia-Russia international plein air “Green Noise”, Plyos. Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, Plyos.
Since 2016 - one of the organisers and participants of the annual international plein air “Meetings in Estonia” in Narva.
