In 1977 he graduated from Shymkent Pedagogical Institute, the department of artistic graphics. He worked as a teacher at A. Kasteyev College of Fine Arts.
1979г. – He worked at the South Kazakhstan branch of the Union of Artists of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
1989 – He became a member of the Youth Association of the USSR Union of Artists.
1989 – He became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR.
1990 – He became the head of the South Kazakhstan branch of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan.
1991 – He became the chief art expert for the city of Shymkent.
1992 – He took a position of the director of Shymkentgoroformleniye enterprise.
1994 — With the aid of the UNESCO fund a trilingual art book was published “АBAI. Life. Time. Art” containing a series of Batukhan Baymen’s graphic works.
1995 – He became a director of manufacturing and artistic association “Modern” of Shymkent urban design administration.
1996 – He took a position of the Head of the department of monumental developments and city design of architecture and urban planning administration of Shymkent.
1998 – He became a director of Turkestan-Dizain administration.
2001 – He became a director of Dizain I Sreda administration of the Akimat of South Kazakhstan Region.
From 2003 to the present day he has been working as a director of Tauekel LLP. In this position he performed a lot of work to improve the city and districts of the city as well as many other improvement projects. He took part in All-Union, republican, national and international exhibitions. His works were acquired by the National Museum of Fine Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic and by the Directorate of Art Exhibitions and Auctions, Almaty. Batukhan Baimen is a distinguished public character in Shymkent. Many times he was elected chief art expert and a member of urban planning council of Shymkent.

In 2011 he was awarded an award pin “Medeniet Kayratkeri” (Cultural Luminary) of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 2013, an art book, “A Teacher and a Student”, was published.
In 2013, in Moscow, Galart Publishing House and Executive Committee of International Confederation of the Union of Artists published an art book “Kazakhstan beyeleu oeneri” (“Fine Arts of Kazakhstan”), and in that same year “Elnur media” published a five-volume art book «“Kazak oeneri” (“Kazakh art”), dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Union of Artists of Kazakhstan, containing a series of Batukhan Baimen’s graphic works.
In 2014, a one-man exhibition “Abyss”, was held in A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty.
In September of 2015 a one-man exhibition was held in Regional Museum of Fine Arts, Shymkent, dedicated to
the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.
In September and November of 2015, in Astana and Almaty, in A. Kasteyev State Museum of Arts exhibitions of graphic works were held, dedicated to the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate, where series of graphic works were exhibited, entitled “Turkic peoples” and “Auylym – a Cradle of Gold”. According to assessments of various art experts Batukhan Baimen is currently the best black-and-white artist of Kazakhstan. An article, entitled “Govoryashtshiye Strikhi” (“Talking Lines”), about Batukhan Baimen, by a renowned fine art expert, Kamila Li was published in the November issue of “NOMAD” magazine.
In December of 2015 a one-man exhibition was held in Turkistan, South Kazakhstan Region, dedicated to
the 550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate.
In 2015, he was awarded a medal “For Best Creative Work” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of establishment of the Kazakh Artists Union and a medal “For Valorous Labor” of South-Kazakhstan Region public association “Qurmet-AB”. He won the award as the “Best Artist of 2015” conferred by the South-Kazakhstan Region’s Akimat for special contribution into the region’s cultural development. In 2015, he received a commemorative medal “60th Anniversary of Kentau City”.
In September 2016, the international individual artistic exhibition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of independence of Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan entitled “Nomad Tribes and Nomads” took place in Kyrgyz capital Bishkek. The exhibition was hosted by the Kyrgyz State National Museum of Arts named after Gapar Aitiyev.
Following 2016, he received a gold medal of A. Kasteev “For Best Creative Work” awarded by the Kazakh Artists Union, and became the Kazakhstan’s first ever person awarded a diploma of international conference in the 20-year history of the Kazakh Artists Union.
In 2016, he was awarded a commemorative medal “25 Years of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. In 2016, Batukhan Baimen’s individual creative album was published.
In 2017 he was awarded by the mayor of the region with a special award for artists.
In 2018 he was awarded with diploma by Art Academy of Uzbekistan.
Also in 2018 was awarded with medal by social union “Qurmet-AB”.
In 2018 was filmed documentary film by Otrar.kz channel named “Batukhan Baimen. Graphic artist. Biography, Art and family”.
In 2019 was awarded by Republic of Kyrgyzstan by a medal of “Kyrgyz kochy”.
In 2019 Batukhan had an individual art exhibition in Cyprus. All 55 paintings which were presented in exhibition was owned by Modern Art Museum of Cyprus after exhibition. For the contribution to art he was awarded by Cyprus Modern Art Museum with Silver “Key of Cyprus” and diploma.
In 2019 was awarded by Republic of Kyrgyzstan by a medal of “Kyrgyz Tuusu 95years”.
In 2019 was awarded by Union of Artists of Kazakhstan by medal “For the contribution to art”.
In 2020 awarded by the mayor of the region “For the contribution of art in region”.
