Artist Georgy Makarov was born in 1969 in Karaganda, Kazakhstan. In 1988 he graduated from the Karaganda Teachers Training School, where his specialty was painting and graphic arts. Since 1988 he has been living and working in Almaty. Since 1995, Georgy has been teaching painting and composition at multidiscipline gymnasium, Almaty, and has been leading the NEW Studio. Since 1996, Georgy has been actively participating in group exhibitions, art projects, original ceramics, small drawings and miniature fairs, has been a member of the Green Market art group and the Seger Cone art union, and has been holding personal exhibitions. His works are in the collection of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, North Cyprus; in private collections in Russia, Kazakhstan, Poland, USA, Canada, Germany, Australia, Italy, Azerbaijan, Cuba, Angola, Czech Republic, Spain.
